HX711 24-Bit Precision Load Cell Amplifier Module – Dual-Channel Weight Sensor ADC
Product Description
The HX711 24-Bit Precision Load Cell Amplifier Module is a high-precision analog-to-digital converter (ADC) breakout board designed for electronic weighing scales and weight measurement applications. It amplifies the small electrical signals generated by load cells and converts them into digital data that can be read by a microcontroller.
Based on the HX711 IC, this module features a 24-bit ADC, two selectable differential input channels, and an integrated programmable gain amplifier (PGA). It supports selectable gain settings of 32, 64, and 128, making it suitable for measuring small changes in load cell output.
The module uses a simple two-wire serial interface, making it easy to connect with Arduino, ESP32, and other compatible microcontrollers. It is widely used in digital weighing scales, smart weight measurement systems, industrial measurement prototypes, and DIY electronics projects.

How It Works
A load cell produces a very small differential voltage when weight or force is applied. The HX711 module amplifies this signal using its built-in programmable gain amplifier and converts it into a 24-bit digital value.
A microcontroller reads the digital output through the DT and SCK pins. With suitable calibration using known weights, the readings can be converted into weight measurements.

Important Notes
The HX711 is an ADC and amplifier module; a compatible load cell is required separately for weight measurement.
Although the IC has two selectable differential input channels, typical weighing-scale projects commonly use Channel A.
The 24-bit resolution describes the ADC output format; actual measurement precision depends on the load cell, noise, wiring, calibration, and mechanical setup.
Select the appropriate gain and data rate for your application.
Check the breakout board's supply voltage and pin compatibility before connecting it to a microcontroller.
Stable mounting and proper load-cell calibration are important for reliable measurements.
